Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree from a relevant discipline, and or a professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA, or CA)
- Minimum of 3-5 years related financial accounting and analysis experience in a non-profit organization preferably in a health setting an asset
- Bookkeeping experience in the areas of payroll/benefits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation and purchasing
- Ability to prepare financial documents and reports, budgets and forecasting for both internal and external use in a timely manner
- Ability to prepare month-end and year-end closing; prepare year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirement of government departments and agencies ensuring compliance
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems is required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi task and meeting conflict deadlines are essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to take initiative and keen attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders; written and spoken in both official languages is an asset
- Ability to work in a demanding environment while maintaining confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Demonstrate leadership abilities
