Minor Surgery
Program Details (Back to Programs)

The White Pines Family Health Network provide minor surgery procedures to their patients through the Minor Surgery Group. Patients are receptive to undergoing minor procedures outside the traditional hospital setting; and also an office surgical suite allows the physician greater flexibility in scheduling. The minor surgery staff always strive to make your visit as comfortable as possible in an office setting.

Notes For Your Visit:

  1. On the day of your surgery there are no food restrictions, you can eat normally. Please make sure to eat on that day or prior to procedure.
  2. Wear comfortable clothing that can be removed easily.
  3. If you do not speak English / French, please bring an adult with you who is able to translate in your language.
  4. You will receive a local anaesthetic or "freezing" in the area where your procedure will be performed. If you are allergic to the "freezing" please advise MD or minor surgery staff.
  5. With a few exceptions, most patients may leave shortly after surgery.
  6. Please report to the Registration Desk with your Health Card for Minor Surgery 15 to 30 minutes before your appointment.
  7. The Timmins Family Health Team and White Pines Family Health Network are not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items or clothing.
